Cancer care should reaches far and wide

Cancer still strikes fear, but it needn't as advances in technology and medicine have almost vanquished the big C. In urban areas, there's hope of early detection and cure, with specialized doctors available. But this is not so rural parts, where the crucial combination of doctors, medicine and technology is yet to reach, and awareness of the disease is low. What we need are branches of the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in every district, so that cancer care reaches far and wide and needn't traumatize patients and their families. The availability of cheaper medicines to fight the disease is also critical, for not everyone can afford expensive treatment.
